Graduation: A 3 Years Journey That Transformed Me

Finally, I did it!!! 🏆👨‍🎓🎓

It has been 3 years of struggle at GEHU. Saturday 30th March 2020 is officially the day I graduated from the University to join the ranks of past and present alumni.

These 3 years of the journey took my blood, sweat, and tears to complete my graduate degree in Bachelor of Commerce, B.com(H).

As I had battled many life challenges to finish my degree, we all have, you could understand why I was excited for graduation day.

But this year something different happened for the batch of 2020 and we all know how devastating it is for all of us who gave our last exam at the university, all those precious moments have gone.

I imagined going into the last 3 months of degree with all my closest friends, making a happy chappy post on social media & we all getting a job doing what we wanted to do in life. But how damn wrong was I.

Since March 7 I am at home due to COVID19, we all are at home since this pandemic has hit our country, we were not ready for any of this and we never thought that everything will end up so early and like this. All those moments have all gone and this time won’t ever come back for all of us.

There’s so much I want to say about this.

These times are a huge part of so many people’s lives and don’t get me wrong it is and was a huge part of my life too. I went through so much during my days of University it’s not even funny. Doing a degree and realizing it wasn’t right for me and then finding my passion for digital marketing.

And besides, that what acts as a cherry on the cake is I was going through a dramatic shift in my life in terms of people around me. Shit happened and I was losing friends I thought they’re like 2nd family to me. People I invested my time and energy in throughout University taught me many things and helped me in shaping me what I am today.

It has been an amazing journey of 3 years of hustle & bustle with many up’s and down’s in life.

For me, the 1st semester was not good. Once I got to a point where I didn’t even want to be on campus because I didn’t want to see any of the folks around me. Going to University with people you considered were your closest mates suddenly transformed from the biggest blessing to the biggest nightmare. That’s how my 1st semester went hating facing my problems.

But then life changed I started working for different businesses as an Intern, made major mindset shifts & transformed myself physically and be in my best shape possible. The results were amazing everything changed for me and I made the got the right people in my life.

I can write soo much about each semester and the events that have a huge impact on my college life, but the post will be too long. I will explain all of that in a different post someday. To stay updated on the series subscribe to my blog.

So, as we all get to the next phase of our life which is worth celebrating even in these uncertain times. We can’t celebrate this year in person but we can make proper use of current resources available and for me, it is through this post. I wanted to thank some of the folks at the university who have been with me from the start and hope we all be the same in the future. Also, I will share some inspiring messages at the end of the post that might motivate and help in working on your future.

Now, to the ones who had an impact on me. Cheers to all of us 🍻
