Who is a Growth Hacker?

The term “Growth” means to grow and the “Hacker” means someone who programs, builds and make products in such a way that experience rapid growth. They think out of the box, disregards the rules and find new ways to solve problems. They need to creative as well as analytical.

A growth hacker’s true north is growth. Every decision is made by him is done to grow. All his acts, tactics, attempts, experiments are performed to grow.

The growth hacker is like the moon that revolves around the earth.

Growth hackers focus on one goal to achieve that they can almost ignore everything and these practices have given rise to a number of methods, tools that don’t exist in simple marketing. So it’s like a mindset.

They are linked to any company seeking rapid growth.

It’s a process

Most people think that by doing growth hacking they can become an overnight success but that’s not the case. It’s a myth that the articles have created by companies like Uber, Airbnb, and Dropbox.

Tactics are important for sure but growth never ever happens overnight.

It’s a process which includes rapid experimenting, scaling, Analyzing and automating.

It has to complete the 5 stages of the funnel.

  • Awareness: – When a user visits a digital property for the first time.
  • Acquisition: – When a user has given you some way to identify them (e.g. an email address or customer profile)
  • Activation: – When a user has experienced using some version of your product or service.
  • Referral: – When a user makes someone else aware of your brand, products, or services.
  • Revenue: – Users conduct some monetization behavior

This whole process is all about Practice, experimenting in order to achieve long-term growth. Don’t back out if you don’t succeed in the first attempt, Find out another way. And by the time you learn and experiment you will find a way to grow your business and then you can write that you did it overnight.

Keep this in mind: just because these strategies worked for someone else, doesn’t mean that they will work for you, too. You need to try them out and test them to see what works and what doesn’t but do learn from them.

Who is a Digital Marketer?

A person whose key motive is to promote a brand through various digital media forms to reach customers. A Digital Marketer can work with Social media marketing, SEO, SEM, and paid advertisement are some of the things he does. Customer interaction makes them hyped.

They are focused on branding, storytelling, long-term thinking and emotions. Their main focus is to create an Impact on the online audience.

Marketers follow a long-term path and focus on building a brand while growth hackers focus only on Growth.

Marketers are not risk takers but Growth Hackers are and that what makes them special.

Marketers depend upon other people to execute their ideas and implement them, Growth Hackers are the one-man show they start it and end it so they have to be creative and tech-savvy.

Growth Hacking is for hustlers, people who push their limits and think outside of the box. They can make their own Unique strategies that surely be the next big business thing. Example Facebook, Dropbox.

Define your needs first! Then make a decision about what you want.

If you’re a startup and can’t afford expensive marketing campaigns go with growth hacking and if you are well-established brand and satisfied with your growth rate and are focused on maintaining brand reputation, then go with Digital Marketing.
