It’s no secret that the world has embraced all things digital since the birth of the internet. Nearly half of the world is online this is beneficial to your business. It’s been truly a modern miracle to witness how the Internet has transformed our daily lives in such a short span of time.

What is Digital Marketing?

Simple and easy words Digital Marketing is any form of marketing products or services using any Electronic medium.

It is the use of digital tactics and channels to connect with customers it may be from a website or a business online branding asset.

Digital marketing can be both online and offline these are the 2 main pillars of digital marketing.

Online Marketing

There are several ways of online marketing and these are the most common that I am going to explain to you: –

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

It is basically optimizing your content and the website to rank higher in organic results. It drives traffic to your website and helps you a lot in generating viewers. SEO can be done on Websites, Posts, Blogs and visual content.

Content Marketing

It simply means the creation of new unique content for promotion of business and generating more traffic and customers. Content marketing can be done on Posts, Brochures, websites, Lead pages and images.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

It’s a method that generates leads by paying to a specific publisher every time someone clicks your ad. Google AdWords, is the perfect example. SEM is the results that are shown on the top of the results page with an AD banner. Other places where you can find the SEM is Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Instagram Ads etc.

Social Media Marketing

This is promoting your brand on social media channels to generate leads, traffic and increase brand awareness. Social media marketing can be done through many channels like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Google+ etc.

Email Marketing

Email is one of the effective ways to communicate with your audience. They can be used to connect, Promote, Advertise, Awareness about special offers and discounts as well as getting more people to the website. Through email, you can make people subscribe to your blog for newsletters, Follow-ups, Welcome emails, Product promotion and Tips that matters to your audience.

Affiliate Marketing

It’s a form of advertising where you get paid for promoting someone’s else content on your website. This form of marketing includes YouTube partner program and affiliate links from your social media accounts.

Inbound Marketing

It refers to the “sales funnel” to engage, attract customers using your online content. Every form of Digital marketing can be done through this specific method.

Native Advertising

It refers to advertisements that are content-led and featured on a platform along with unpaid content. Example Instagram advertising.

Online PR

It is the practice of securing online content with digital publications, blogs and other forms of content based websites. The channels of online PR are reporter outreach via social media, comments and online reviews on your website.

Marketing Automation

It is basically doing tasks with help of software’s that can automate basic marketing operations like Scheduling posts, Newsletters, Contact list Updating, campaign reports, and tracking.

Offline Marketing

There are 3 ways of offline marketing that I am going to explain to you: –

Billboards

Electronic Billboards are still in the trend they are one of the best ways of offline digital advertising they make and lasting impact on people who see them.

Radio advertising

Radios? Yes, they are one of the methods to advertise your content. Research shows that still maximum people while driving cars so it can be helpful for your business

 Television Marketing

Each and every house has a television and people watch shows daily. So, these commercial TV ads make a long-lasting impact on users and through this, your business can benefit a lot but remember that these ads are expensive too.

Conclusion

As day by day internet users are increasing it’s a perfect place for marketers to gather success. You should not miss any opportunity to grab on the web.
